The Role

As a Product Sales Responsible Naval Domain, you will be responsible for sales and business development activities for products within the Saab Surveillance product portfolio. You will work within various business opportunities supporting business realisation, meeting customers and lead smaller bid teams as well as leading and coordinating required activities within Saab's Winning Business process. It is an exciting and demanding role that requires product knowledge, determination and endurance.

Remote working is available but able to work from Fareham / Farnborough or London. Travels, both domestic and globally, are required to meet customers, partners and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working as Product Sales Responsible Naval Domain with selected business prospects to achieve Order Intake & Gross Margin targets.
  • Lead and coordinate bid teams from early business development until contract signing.
  • Working closely with Customer Sales Responsible (CSR), Product Managers and Bid Office as well as other functions in Saab UK and at Saab group level.
  • Support the CSR with product knowledge and product sales activities.
  • Plan and execute meetings with customers, partners and other stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for business data in our customer relationship management tool.
  • Perform Business Intelligence i.e., competitor product offerings.
  • Participate in exhibitions and other sales activities.
  • Manage customer delegation visits.

Skills and Experience

You are a business-oriented professional with a strong drive to close business and strive to exceed expectations. You enjoy working with different aspects of winning business, from initial phases to delivery. You have a flexible mindset and can shift between different levels of technical and financial details. As a person you drive change, have the ability to lead people and you apply a growth mindset in your daily life. Further, you possess a high level of cultural sensitivity, is a team player and is an excellent communicator with high integrity.

Required skills

  • Strong sales leadership skills, with the ability to lead the sales process from prospecting to closing. Preferably experience in international sales.
  • Understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics and customer needs within the industry.
  • Industry experience from business development and sales, engineering or production.
  • Degree in engineering or economics, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Excellent communication and cultural skills, with fluency in English and the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable skills

  • Project Management or similar experiences of leadership in an international environment.
  • Language skills and experiences of working in various cultural and international contexts.
  • Good understanding of Saab's surveillance products and services.

Security Clearance

As a National Security Vetting clearance is required for this role, applicants will be required to hold National Security Vetting clearance to SC level or have the ability to gain it.
