DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES | About the role

We're seeking a proactive and organised Business Development Executive to join our Vendor Alliances team, supporting the growth and success of our partnership with Rapid7, a leading cybersecurity vendor.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in internal sales, business development, sales support, or channel operations who is ready to take the next step into the world of cybersecurity distribution and vendor sales.

Working closely with Product Sales Specialists and Vendor Managers, you'll play a key role in driving partner engagement, supporting opportunity progression, improving forecast accuracy, and contributing to strategic vendor growth initiatives. The position offers excellent exposure to channel sales, partner development, and vendor management, making it a fantastic stepping stone toward a future Product Sales Specialist or Vendor-focused career path

As The Business Development Executive, You Will

  • Identifying and engaging new partners for Exclusive Networks and Rapid7.
  • Re-engaging dormant partners and introducing new business opportunities.
  • Coordinating meetings between partners, Product Sales Specialists, and Vendor Managers.
  • Support the onboarding and enablement of newly recruited partners.
  • Clearly communicating Rapid7's value proposition and partner opportunities.
  • Supporting the progression of mid-sized and selected strategic opportunities.
  • Maintaining accurate CRM data and opportunity records.
  • Improve forecasting accuracy through proactive pipeline management.
  • Identifying cross-sell, upsell, and services opportunities.
  • Ensuring opportunities remain visible, active, and aligned across internal teams.
  • Respond to partner queries across the cybersecurity vendor portfolio.
  • Support Product Sales Specialists and Vendor Managers in achieving key business objectives.
  • Assist with the execution of vendor business plans and sales initiatives.
  • Coordinate partner-facing activities and internal engagement programmes.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact between internal teams and partner organisations.
  • Support partner enablement programmes and training initiatives.
  • Support Vendor campaigns and partner marketing activities.
  • Follow-up and engagement activity after partner events and programmes.
  • Drive participation in vendor-led growth initiatives.
  • Qualifying inbound and outbound partner opportunities.
  • Tracking engagement activity and maintaining CRM accuracy.
  • Identifying opportunities to increase vendor adoption within existing partners.
  • Share market and partner feedback to help shape future channel strategy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The Ideal Business Development Executive

  • 2 plus years' experience in sales, business development, channel support, or a similar role within IT or cybersecurity.
  • Experience within an IT distributor, reseller, or vendor environment.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity technologies.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using CRM systems to track opportunities and activity.
  • Knowledge of pipeline management and sales forecasting.
