Role Purpose
Are you driven by mastering complex selling solutions and delivering outstanding results in dynamic market environments? Do you thrive on solving customer challenges and driving revenue growth? Wood Mackenzie is seeking talented Product Sales Specialists to join our high-performing sales team.
As a Product Sales Specialist at Wood Mackenzie, you'll be responsible for selling our differentiated products and solutions to customers across the natural resources industry. You'll combine deep product expertise with consultative selling skills to understand customer needs, identify opportunities, and deliver commercial success.
Main Responsibilities
- Product Expertise and Positioning
- Develop and maintain deep expertise in assigned product(s), capabilities, and positioning within competitive markets
- Understand product value drivers, technical specifications, and applications across customer workflows
- Stay current with market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive developments affecting product demand
- Translate product capabilities into compelling customer-centric value propositions

Solution Selling and Customer Engagement
- Identify customer pain points and articulate how our products solve specific business challenges
- Lead consultative sales conversations with technical and business stakeholders to understand complex requirements
- Develop compelling product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and customer education sessions
- Navigate complex decision-making processes and influence multiple stakeholders from operational teams to C-suite
- Manage individual accounts and opportunities to deliver sales targets and revenue objectives

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work seamlessly with Account Managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of customer solutions
- Collaborate with Product, Research, and Technical teams to translate customer feedback into product insights
- Partner with Marketing and Enablement to develop customer-focused positioning and sales materials
- Support training and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the sales function

Business Development and Growth
- Identify new product-market opportunities and emerging customer segments
- Develop and execute territory or product-specific sales strategies aligned with regional priorities
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting and opportunity management
- Represent Wood Mackenzie at industry events, webinars, and thought leadership forums
About You
- Proven experience in B2B product sales, solutions selling, or technical sales roles, ideally in SaaS, analytics, or data-driven platforms
- Strong ability to quickly master complex product and technical concepts and communicate them effectively
- Track record of building relationships with technical and executive-level stakeholders in global organisations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated capability to meet or exceed sales targets through strategic account planning and opportunity management
- Intellectual curiosity and passion for data analytics and its application in solving business problems
- Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively across multiple business functions
- Entrepreneurial spirit with drive to identify and pursue new revenue opportunities
- Experience in power, renewables, energy, or natural resources industries is a plus

We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
While this is expected to be a full-time role, part-time or flexible working arrangements will be considered.
