Product Security Engineer
π Luton (Hybrid) | π 6-Month Contract | π· Β£80/hr Umbrella

We're supporting a leading UK defence programme and are looking for an experienced Product Security Engineer to drive security assurance across complex, mission-critical systems.
This is a Product Security Engineering role, working closely with engineering and systems teams to ensure security is embedded throughout the full development lifecycle. It is not a corporate IT or enterprise cyber security position.

- Lead product security risk assessments and mitigation activities.
- Define and manage security requirements for complex systems and products.
- Produce security assurance artefacts including Security Cases, Security Management Plans and accreditation documentation.
- Embed MOD Secure by Design principles across engineering programmes.
- Support security testing, vulnerability management and remediation.
- Engage with customers, assurance authorities and external stakeholders including the NCSC.
- Provide security leadership throughout design, development, integration and through-life support.

What We're Looking For
- β Strong Product/System Security Engineering experience within Defence, Government or highly regulated environments.
- β Recent experience applying MOD Secure by Design.
- β Expertise in security risk management, assurance and accreditation.
- β Experience developing Security Cases, RMADS or equivalent assurance documentation.
- β Knowledge of MOD standards, GovS, JSPs, NIST and ISO 27001.
- β Ability to work effectively with engineering teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
