Product Evangelist
Industry: Risk Tech | SaaS
Location: Central Manchester (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 (potentially some wiggle room) + Benefits
We're working with a fast-growing SaaS business in the governance, risk, and compliance space who are making risk management simple, smart, and accessible. Their platform helps businesses take control of risk without the complexity of legacy GRC tools, giving risk teams better visibility, smarter workflows, and real decision-making support. It's built to help risk professionals do their best work, not replace them.
We've worked with them for a couple of years now, and they're flying. Great product, great people, and a genuinely standout culture that their team loves being part of.
They're now hiring a brand new Product Evangelist. This is a role for someone who knows the risk and compliance world from the inside, loves being the expert in the room, and would rather shape a function than inherit one.
The Role
You'll sit right inside the product team alongside the UX/UI Lead, Product Owner, QA Lead, and the engineers building the platform. You'll get to know the product properly, stay close to what's changing in the regulatory world, and then carry that story outwards. Specifically, you'll be:
- Becoming the voice of the product, the familiar face customers and internal teams know to go to
- Designing and leading workshops and sessions where customers learn something and the business does too
- Turning the roadmap into a story a senior risk professional gets in ninety seconds and can repeat to their board
- Explaining every release in the customer's language, showing what's changed and why it matters to how they actually work
- Teaching the sales and support teams to explain the platform as confidently as you do
- Keeping on top of regulatory change and what it means for risk teams
- Setting the tone of voice across in-app copy, release notes, and product messaging
- Shaping AI-drafted documentation so it's accurate and makes sense to someone new to the screen
- Joining customer interviews and research sessions and bringing those insights back to the team

What You'll Bring
Your job title matters far less than your specialism. You might come from product marketing, consulting, training, or from practising risk yourself. Knowing the GRC world is the hardest bit to pick up, so that's where they'll look most closely. You'll ideally have:
- Strong knowledge of governance, risk, and compliance, or the drive to go properly deep on it fast
- The ability to translate product features into outcomes, benefits, and ROI
- Real energy for explaining things out loud, in a room
- Confidence facilitating as well as presenting, and knowing the difference
- Clear writing and ruthless editing
- A genuine curiosity to learn the product inside out rather than skim a demo script
- Comfort drafting with AI and confidence correcting what it produces
- The presence to hold your own with senior risk professionals at regulated firms
Why This One Stands Out
Most people who explain software do it from the outside, a step removed from the build and the domain. Here you'll be embedded with the people building the platform and expected to know the risk world as well as the customers do. Because the role is new, you'll help define what it becomes, with a real voice in what gets shipped and not just how it's explained. They'll also coach you in whichever half of the job is newer to you.

The Process
No writing samples. Instead, expect a conversation about what you'd want to own, a practical session explaining a feature to two very different audiences using a sandbox, a chance to walk them through a risk or compliance problem you know well, and a chat with the wider team. Any adjustments needed, just ask.
The Details
This is a full-time permanent role based in central Manchester, two days a week in the office, and the rest from home. Salary is £50,000 to £55,000 with some wiggle room for the right person. On the benefits side, you're looking at 30 days holiday plus your birthday off, full private healthcare including dental, an electric vehicle scheme, pension, and genuine investment in your training and progression.
