A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IT Product Specialist to join our IT team based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Hybrid working is an option with 3 days working in the office. This role operates within the FMSC supply chain, focused upon the logistics functions, working with SAP and warehouse management solutions. The role provides subject matter expertise and undertakes responsibility for the management, delivery and development of products / services - through their full life cycle from inception, implementation, growth, maturity and decline to retirement.
What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with senior business and IT stakeholders working alongside Senior Product Manager to develop the product strategy aligning it with the overall business objectives
- Acts as a trusted advisor and builds and maintains relationships with IT colleagues and senior stakeholders to develop a clear understanding of business needs; ensures cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs and can respond with agility to changing business priorities
- Complete comprehensive assessments of the existing SAP landscape, evaluating its effectiveness, scalability, and alignment with business goals. Identify opportunities for improvement and develop a roadmap for application modernization (including the use if AI agents and automation). Presenting the final assessment to Design Authority and Steerco
- Using specialist technology and business process knowledge to define & govern project scope and complete deliverables in agreed timelines
- Collaborate with external vendors and partners, building relationships, and ensure delivery of high-quality services and solutions. Evaluate proposals and conduct technical configuration/customization of solutions that meet our customers’ needs and provide great user experience aligned with clean core principles
- Collaborating with other teams, ensuring smooth transition and user acceptance of transformed applications
- Bring insight of industry trends and emerging technologies relevant, enable improvers to assess and recommend suitable tools, frameworks, and methodologies to drive efficiency, scalability, and maintainability of applications
- Responsible for ensuring all products supporting the business are compliant with internal security, risk management policies and practices, external regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Work with the support organization to trouble shoot incidents and escalations providing resolution to break-fix issues. Demonstrate the ability to resolve complex issues, manage user relationships, and delivery. Proactively seek ways to reduce the volume of support work, identifying common/recurring issues, and proposing improvements

What we are looking for:

- 5+ years of experience in business/industry
- Good content knowledge of warehouse management for SAP EWM or Manhattan Associates WMOS
- An understanding of the development tools used to produce the software product(s) and their system integrations
- A good understanding of the business processes for which the product(s) are designed
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- A sound, broad knowledge of IT and an excellent understanding of how the technical specialism relates to other areas of IT and how it impacts on other business functions
- A good understanding of the development lifecycle and the role of software testing
- The ability to take a logical and analytical approach to problem solving
- Excellent relationship management, strong influence, and communication skills
- Understanding of Agile Software Development, experience in Scrum, Kanban, and other methodologies. Experience with using tools such as Jira and CALM
- High quality artefact approach, creation and maintenance
