Role summary
Join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Specialist III, where you'll contribute to revenue growth and customer success through technical sales expertise. You'll represent our portfolio of scientific instruments and solutions, working closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver effective solutions that enable them to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a technical advisor, you'll develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts while providing technical expertise across the sales cycle. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, and technical support to implement sales strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
The Technical Sales Specialist- Oncology is responsible for establishing the Olink's proteomics platform in Oncology to accelerate biomarker discovery, translational research, precision oncology, and clinical development programs. They are driving and supporting the direct sales of the PSX product portfolio for Oncology in the UK in order to deliver new business and increase the revenue growth in Oncology with specified accounts in the UK.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Point person to represent Oncology in region with key internal and external stakeholders
- Working closely with Marketing, Field Application Scientists, Medical Affairs, Customer Success, and regional commercial colleagues, the Technical Sales Specialist- Oncology manages the full sales cycle from prospecting through account growth while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
- Strong relationships with strategic partners, KOLs, influencers and other working groups in Oncology
- Excellent relationships with the Global Team (Sales, Services, Product Management & Marketing)
- Promote adoption of Olink proteomics solutions across translational oncology, biomarker discovery and validation, precision oncology, immuno-oncology, clinical research, pharmaceutical biomarker programs and clinical laboratory applications.
- Represent Olink at scientific conferences, customer meetings and industry events.
Market Knowledge:
- Broad Clinical Oncology market knowledge
- Understanding of the clinical oncology landscape, including translational research, biomarker development and precision medicine.
- Focused on driving new demand for Olink Proteomics solutions in Oncology
Sales Strategy Development / Sales Process Management
- Demonstrates the ability to operate independently and while being able to effectively navigate within the highly matrixed ThermoFisher organization
- Facilitates collaboration across divisions in the oncology space.
- Drive high numbers of customer engagements
- Translates commercial value propositions to technical and business stakeholders in Oncology.
- Collaborate with Field Application Scientists to support study design and technical discussions in Oncology.
- Provide customer feedback to Product Management and Marketing for Oncology.
- Maintain strong knowledge of Olink products, applications and competitive technologies in the Oncology space.

Customer Relationship Management
- Understanding of the needs of clinical oncologists and their translational research.
- Strong consultative selling and relationship management skills.
- Ability to communicate scientific concepts to clinical and research audiences in Oncology.
Communication
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both internally and externally
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree plus demonstrated technical sales experience in relevant scientific instrumentation, laboratory products, or life sciences industry
- Preferred Fields of Study: Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering or related discipline
- Deep technical knowledge of assigned product portfolio and applications
- Strong understanding of laboratory workflows and customer requirements
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with ability to explain complex technical concepts
- Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
- Travel requirements of 50-75% within assigned territory
- Valid driver's license and ability to lift/move equipment as needed
- Proficiency in English required, additional languages valued for international roles
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitive landscape
- Experience delivering technical demonstrations and training
