Commercial Analytics / Product Strategy Consultant – Price Comparison Websites
Location: Remote
Contract: 6 months
Day Rate: £700 per day, inside IR35
Positions: 2
Please note: direct experience working for or with a Price Comparison Website is a key requirement for this position.
About the Role
We are looking for two experienced Commercial Analytics / Product Strategy Consultants to support a major financial services organisation on a strategic Price Comparison Website (PCW) optimisation programme.
Previous hands-on experience working with Price Comparison Websites is essential for this role. Candidates must understand how PCW channels operate and have experience analysing and improving performance across these channels. Experience with aggregators would be highly desirable.
Working alongside an established Lead, you will provide analytical and commercial expertise to develop a targeted PCW strategy, with a focus on optimising product visibility, customer mix, credit risk, approval rates, click-to-sale conversion and overall profitability.
This role would suit someone from a bank, credit card provider, financial services organisation, credit bureau or consulting environment, provided they have direct PCW experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of the target market and optimal product/customer risk mix across individual PCW channels.
- Analyse PCW performance and identify opportunities to improve approval rates, click-to-sale conversion and profitability.
- Design and assess generic pre-filter settings to optimise product and offer visibility.
- Use customer, credit and commercial analysis to determine the optimal balance between application volumes, conversion, profitability and credit quality.
- Quantify the commercial and risk trade-offs associated with different PCW strategies and pre-filter settings.
- Support the development of a control framework enabling Product, Pricing and Credit Risk teams to manage portfolio mix effectively.
- Contribute to PCW segmentation and categorisation to support scalable channel management.
- Provide clear, commercially focused analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Work closely with Product, Pricing, Credit Risk and other relevant teams to align channel strategy and decision-making.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
