Product Support Technician - 6 month temporary Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Product Support Technician to join our Operations Support team at Switch2, a leading provider in the metering and billing sector.
This is a 6 month temporary contract offering the opportunity to progress to a permanent position based on strong performance and team fit.
You will be office based (hybrid possible after the initial period) within a supportive team of 7 people, processing our backlog of internal support tickets and ensuring accurate, timely resolution of billing-related enquiries. Your responsibilities will encompass:

- Meter read enquiries
- Credit and credit status verification
- Meter exception requests
- Remote commissioning of Prepayment Units
- Billing database corrections
- Billing read deployment and uploading
- AMR – Automatic Meter Reading equipment support
- Ad-hoc office-based support and admin activities as they arise
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require a Level 5 or higher STEM qualification and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365, with a potential focus on Excel. Above all, we are looking for someone who demonstrates strong competence, meticulous attention to detail, analytical problem-solving ability, and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience in billing systems, databases and ticket resolution systems is desirable but not essential.
