Are you an experienced Mechanical, Product or Sustaining Engineer looking to take ownership of established products and drive continual improvement throughout their lifecycle?
We're recruiting for a Product Sustaining Engineer to join a global engineering organisation developing innovative thermal management solutions used across advanced industrial and high-technology sectors. This is an excellent opportunity to work on market-leading products, driving quality, reliability, manufacturability and customer satisfaction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
The Role
As a Product Sustaining Engineer, you will support and develop existing thermal management products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring they remain reliable, competitive and cost-effective.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning assigned product lines from production through to end-of-life
- Leading engineering changes, product enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives
- Investigating manufacturing, supplier and customer issues and driving robust corrective actions
- Conducting root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions
- Developing mechanical and electromechanical solutions for thermal management applications, including heated pipes, hoses and associated assemblies
- Creating and maintaining engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs and 3D CAD models
- Supporting manufacturing, quality, supply chain, sales and service teams with technical expertise
- Driving product reliability, quality and performance improvements

About You
We're looking for a proactive engineer with experience supporting commercially released products and managing engineering changes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or similar
- 3-5 years' experience in Product Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
- Experience managing engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle
- Strong 3D CAD experience (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or similar)
- Ability to create and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Desirable:
- Thermal management systems
- Heating or fluid control systems
- Sensors and industrial equipment
- Reliability improvement and manufacturing process optimisation
