Great products don't happen by chance. They happen because talented people challenge, test, improve and refine every detail before a product reaches a customer's home.

As a Product Technologist, you'll be at the centre of that process. Responsible for your own categories within the Home Accessories and Textiles team, you'll partner with Buying, Design, Sourcing and suppliers around the world to bring products to market that are safe, compliant, high quality and built to delight our customers.

From shaping product specifications and managing testing requirements through to using customer insight to improve quality and reduce returns, you'll play a key role in delivering products that millions of customers trust every day. Working in a fast-paced retail environment, you'll help influence what we launch next while supporting our quality, customer and sustainability ambitions.

What You'll Do

  • Work closely with Buying, Design, Sourcing and suppliers to develop and deliver products that meet our quality, safety and compliance standards.
  • Create, manage and approve product specifications, ensuring materials, components, testing requirements and care information are accurate and completed to critical path timelines.
  • Take ownership of product safety, legality and due diligence, ensuring products are fully compliant while protecting our brands and reputation.
  • Use customer complaints, returns data, star ratings and product performance insight to identify opportunities for improvement, reduce returns and enhance product quality.
  • Support range reviews, product evaluations and competitor benchmarking, helping shape future product development decisions.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues, working quickly to manage risks, support held stock processes and minimise customer impact.
  • Support the delivery of sustainability commitments through responsible sourcing, material reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and global stakeholders to drive technical excellence throughout the supply chain.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
