Job summary – What to expect:

The Product Transition Analyst provides analytical and operational support across the full product transition lifecycle, ensuring continuous order flow, data integrity, and a seamless customer experience as products move from planning through launch to stabilisation. Working closely with Product Transition Managers and cross-functional teams, the role turns operational data into actionable insight to minimise disruption and safeguard business continuity.

Working in collaboration with the Product Transition Lead and Manager, the Product Transition Analyst provides the insights for customer volumes, product complexities, warehouse volumes and supports the development of the product wave planner.


Essential Functions & Accountabilities:

  • Conduct initial customer impact assessments and define transition timelines for each product change initiative.
  • Monitor and analyse warehouse inventory levels throughout the product transition lifecycle.
  • Support markets with customer segmentation and engagement data to enable proactive communications.
  • Track customer adoption, business impact, and inventory performance before, during, and after product transitions.
  • Provide markets with customer communication data, insights, and follow-up support to facilitate successful transitions.
  • Extract, validate, and maintain Product Codes (UPC) and related product master data.
  • Develop and maintain product and business relationship databases to support transition planning and reporting.
  • Monitor customer transition progress and identify risks, issues, or opportunities requiring intervention.
  • Support adherence to transition execution aligns with established standards, governance frameworks, playbooks, and agreed transition principles.

Specific to Compliance Program Activities

Planning Phase:

  • Acts as a key line of support and insight for the building and maintaining of the Wave Planner tool which will provide decision making on product transition timings
  • Provide analytical support to the Product Transition Team for investigation of historical product volumes, internal / external customer complexities and wave planning.
  • Validate and support market investigations for customer relationship requirements, including ordering processes, business interactions, and system integration needs.
  • Generate a strong understanding of the product transition types, product families and market data.
  • Support the build of repositories for External Customer and Product Data that allow for Markets and stakeholders to access, review and leverage throughout the product transition process.

Execution phase:

  • Monitor product ordering activity throughout the product transition lifecycle to ensure continuous order flow and business continuity.
  • Proactively identify orders that are on hold, backordered, blocked, or stalled within the order management process.
  • Investigate and analyse order exceptions to determine root causes and expedite resolution with relevant teams.
  • Track key order fulfilment and transition performance metrics, highlighting emerging risks and trends.
  • Collaborate with market teams, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Planning, and Commercial Operations to resolve order-related issues.
  • Monitor customer ordering patterns and demand changes during transition periods, identifying opportunities to minimise disruption.
  • Partner with Product Transition Managers to ensure transition milestones are supported by accurate operational execution data and insights.
  • Maintain transition tracking tools, dashboards, and reports to provide visibility of execution progress across markets.
  • Contribute to the successful customer experience during product transitions by ensuring transparency, responsiveness, and proactive issue management.

Post Launch / Monitoring Phase:

  • Monitoring of ongoing product ordering activity following go-live to confirm that transitioned products are ordering, allocating, and fulfilling as expected.
  • Track and analyse order flow to ensure new/successor products are not held, backordered, or stuck, and that legacy products are correctly phased out.
  • Validate that pricing, product hierarchy, GTINs, and master data are functioning correctly in live ordering, flagging any discrepancies for correction.
  • Review residual demand or ordering against discontinued products and highlight customers still ordering old codes for corrective action.
  • Provide regular post-transition performance reporting to Product Transition Managers, covering order health, fulfilment rates, and stabilisation progress.
  • Compare actual post-transition performance against expected outcomes and transition success criteria, identifying variances and their causes.
  • Monitor inventory positions, stock run-down, and write-off risk for legacy products, escalating concerns to relevant teams.
  • Identify recurring issues, exceptions, or systemic errors emerging after implementation and coordinate resolution with market, Supply Chain, and Commercial Operations teams.
  • Provide data and insights to support internal and customer-facing communications regarding transition stabilisation and any residual actions.
  • Maintain and update transition tracking tools, dashboards, and reports to reflect post-implementation status across markets.
  • Confirm that all transition-related system configurations, holds, and controls have been correctly applied or removed as required.
  • Capture lessons learned, root causes, and improvement opportunities to feed into future transition planning and process refinement.

Experience & Education:

  • Experience in functional business processes, functional requirements writing, test script and use case development and documentation.
  • Established working with Business Intelligence tools (Cognos, Tableau)
  • Experience in working with data sourced from Oracle EBS and IMDM Preferred
  • Strong analytical skills in data driven insights and decision making
  • Experience in working in high pressure project environments
