2027 Summer Internship – ETF & ETC Product Specialist
Location: London, UK
Programme dates: End of June to end of August 2027
Working pattern: Full-time, with a minimum of two days per week in the London office
About the opportunity
Interested in financial markets and how investment products are brought to life?
Our client, a leading global asset management firm, is looking for a summer intern to join its Product Specialist team, supporting its range of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and exchange-traded commodities (ETCs).
You’ll gain practical experience in product research, idea generation and launches, working alongside investment professionals to understand how products are developed to meet clients’ needs.
Through individual projects, speaker sessions and networking events, you’ll build your knowledge of asset management, with support from mentors and managers throughout the programme.
Subject to performance, successful interns may be offered a place on the firm’s graduate programme the following year.
About the team
The Product Specialist team connects investment expertise with client needs. It helps identify opportunities for new products, takes ideas through development and launch, and creates content that explains investment strategies to clients.

Working closely with portfolio managers and sales colleagues, the team combines knowledge of asset classes, market trends and client priorities to shape its ETF and ETC offering.
What you’ll do
- Join the Product team with clear responsibilities and opportunities to learn.
- Build your understanding of capital markets by working alongside portfolio managers and sales colleagues.
- Learn about index-based and active investment strategies, and how they can address clients’ needs in different market conditions.
- Support the preparation of product insights, presentations and launch materials.
- Contribute to index research and help generate ideas for new investment products.
- Develop your understanding of ETFs, ETCs and the product development process.
What we’re looking for
- A curious mindset and a strong interest in financial markets and investment funds.
- A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for contributing to a team.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Fluent English and the ability to communicate ideas clearly.
- Experience with Python or AI tools, such as Copilot, is beneficial but not essential.

Eligibility — please check before applying
To be eligible, you must:
- Be enrolled on a bachelor’s or master’s degree and on track to graduate in 2028, by 1 July 2028.
- Be available to work full-time from the end of June to the end of August 2027, including at least two days per week in the London office.
- Have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the internship. Student visa holders are eligible provided their visa permits them to work the required hours throughout the programme.
- Have less than 12 months of relevant full-time work experience, excluding internships.
- Be fluent in English.
