Description
We’re looking for a Production Accounts Assistant to join our specialist Theatre team based in our West End office.
This is a junior opportunity for someone who is organised, accurate, and keen to develop their finance experience within a busy client-facing environment.
You’ll support the team with day-to-day transactional and administrative activity across a portfolio of theatre clients, including payments, bank statements, creditor queries, and document management. As your knowledge develops, there will also be opportunities to build experience in areas such as payroll reconciliations, sales journals, and draft accounts preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Download and organise bank statements and supporting financial information.
- Set up payments for review and authorisation.
- Scan, upload, file, and post financial documentation accurately.
- Assist with aged creditor queries and follow up outstanding items.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, HMRC, and our wider support teams as required.
- Maintain accurate records, trackers, and supporting documentation.
- Support the team with routine finance and administrative queries.
- Assist with balancing payrolls and preparing sales journals as your experience develops.
- Support the preparation of production accounts and related financial information.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure weekly deadlines and client deliverables are met.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Some previous experience within an accounts, finance, bookkeeping, or administrative environment would be beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and confidence working with numerical information.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Confident communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Able to follow processes accurately while also using initiative to resolve straightforward queries.
- A willingness to learn and develop broader accounting skills.
- Previous experience using accounting software would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience within theatre, entertainment, or a similar client environment would be helpful but is not required.
