Meraki Talent are supporting a highly respected organisation with the appointment of a Production Accountant, based in Central London, offering a salary of up to £40,000 alongside excellent benefits and hybrid working.

The Company

This well-established and highly regarded organisation operates within the creative industry, delivering high-quality productions across the UK and internationally. Continued growth has created an opportunity for a Production Accountant to join a collaborative finance team, working closely with production teams and senior leadership across a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll become the main finance contact for a number of productions, partnering closely with Production Managers, Executives and senior leadership. This is a varied role that combines financial reporting, budgeting, business partnering and operational finance, giving you the opportunity to make a genuine impact across the organisation.

You'll be responsible for ensuring productions remain financially on track, providing meaningful reporting and analysis, supporting month-end activities and continuously improving finance processes.

Responsibilities

We are keen to engage individuals, who have the following criteria:

  • Take ownership of the finance management and budget reporting across multiple productions.
  • Produce monthly cost reports, variance analysis and financial commentary for senior leadership.
  • Partner with Production Managers and Executives, providing financial guidance throughout the production lifecycle.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts, production recoveries and support wider financial reporting.
  • Review supplier payment runs and oversee freelancer payment processes.
  • Manage payroll preparation alongside HR, including journals and statutory payments.
  • Administer company expenses, corporate cards, petty cash and foreign currency reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting, statutory audit preparation and ongoing finance improvement projects.
  • Train and support production teams on finance systems and internal processes.
  • Ensure financial deadlines are met across month-end and production reporting cycles.

Ideally you'll bring:

  • Previous experience within Production Accounting or a similar finance role.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting and management reporting experience.
  • Confident stakeholder management skills with the ability to partner across multiple teams.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • A proactive approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience using finance systems
  • A collaborative attitude and the confidence to challenge and influence where appropriate.
