We are currently recruiting for Production and Mixing Operators to join our team at our Kerry Portbury site in Bristol on a permanent full-time rotating shift basis.

Shifts are on a two-week rotating basis - Week 1 Monday - Friday - 06:00 - 14:00 and Week 2 Monday - Friday 14:00 - 22:00

This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, where you will be responsible for producing intermediate and finished products in line with customer specifications and production schedules. Working across our Production and Mixing operations, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality and authenticity.

Due to the location of the site, having your own transport is essential.

Our Portbury site is a dry blending and mixing facility where we produce flavour blends for some of the world's best-known brands. Every week, hundreds of tonnes of product are accurately measured, blended and packed for our customers.

What will you do?

  • Follow daily production plans and schedules to achieve output targets
  • Produce intermediate and finished products in line with customer specifications and company standards
  • Accurately weigh, sieve, blend and mix ingredients following recipes and work instructions
  • Operate production and mixing equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain product traceability by accurately recording and downloading information into SAP
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including CCP checks, washout procedures and quality controls
  • Complete all production paperwork, check sheets and system transactions accurately
  • Ensure sample requirements are met and submitted as required
  • Monitor product quality, authenticity and food safety throughout the production process
  • Maintain production KPIs relating to safety, quality and efficiency
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are clean, fit for purpose and free from damage
  • Report equipment faults, production issues or quality concerns to the Team Leader or Area Manager
  • Adhere to all Food Safety, Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the production area

What do you need to be successful?

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, food production, mixing or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
  • Strong commitment to food safety, quality and health & safety standards
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use production systems such as SAP
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • A flexible approach and willingness to work across different production areas
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
