Production and Raw Materials Planner | Thirsk, North Yorkshire | Permanent
Due to an internal promotion we are excited to be recruiting for a Production and Raw Materials Planner to join our Planning team in based at our Thirsk Manufacturing site.
The Role
Planning sits at the centre of everything we make. As Production and Raw Materials Planner you will build the plans and schedules that keep stock and customer service on target, and buy the materials that make them happen — organising production around what our customers need and what our site can deliver. It is a role with real ownership: you will issue the production plans and commit raw materials, finished goods and stock. You will work closely with operations, commercial and finance, build strong supplier relationships to keep materials flowing, and flag risk early with practical options to solve it — with the scope to review and improve the processes around you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
