Area Manager - Deli Operations
As an Area Manager in our Deli Operations, you will lead the team to deliver work safely, on time and to the right standard.
We're looking for a proven operations leader from a low risk environment experience and preferred in meat environment who can lead large production teams, drive food safety and quality standards, and deliver operational performance in a fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a significant production area and play a key role in developing people, improving performance and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide Team Leaders and colleagues so that the daily plan is delivered safely and efficiently.
- Maintain safety, quality and process standards and make sure they're followed consistently.
- Monitor performance, review data and take action where improvements are needed.
- Communicate openly, coach your team and support wellbeing, performance and attendance.
- Work closely with other departments to resolve issues, support improvements and deliver good service.
About You

- You are a resilient and credible leader with experience of coaching and developing teams in a chilled or high care food environment.
- Proven management experience within low risk environment experience and preferred in meat environment
- You are confident in finding solutions, thinking ahead and making clear decisions under pressure.
- You understand food safety requirements and HACCP Level 3 and IOSH Standards.
- You have a solid grasp of production processes, KPIs and operational planning in a fast paced setting
- You communicate well, build strong working relationships and manage performance in a fair and consistent way.
