Bampton House is a family-run aromatherapy business based in a 350-year-old studio in Witney, Cotswolds. We create high-quality candles, oils, and bath salts with close attention to detail, alongside hosting hands-on wellbeing workshops for individuals, private groups, and corporate teams. Our small team values craft, care, and a hands-on approach to everything we make and host.
Role Description
The Production & Studio Assistant is a self-employed/freelance role, 1–2 days per week, on-site in Witney. Days flexible and to be agreed. This role suits someone already working for themselves across multiple clients.

The role covers day-to-day production, pouring candles, blending oils, mixing bath salts, and packaging finished pieces, alongside helping set up and reset the studio before and after workshops. You'll help maintain a clean, organised workspace, support stock and labelling, and occasionally assist during workshops themselves, welcoming guests and laying out materials.

Qualifications
- Self-employed, with the ability to invoice for work completed
- Comfortable with hands-on, detail-focused production work
- Some understanding of quality control, checking products meet a consistent standard
- Good communication and customer service instincts, comfortable interacting with guests during workshops
- Strong attention to detail for labelling, packaging, and documentation
- Able to work well independently
- Basic computer literacy is helpful for stock/inventory tracking
- Previous experience in production, craft, or a similar hands-on role is an advantage but not required
- An interest in natural wellness or aromatherapy is a bonus, not essential, we're happy to teach the specifics
