What does a Post Production Assistant do at WPP Production?
This is an entry-level role ideal for someone looking to build a career in post-production. Whether you have experience as a Runner, Production Assistant, Production Coordinator, or are looking to take your first step into the industry, this role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across high-end commercial post-production.
Working closely with our Post Producers, Artists and Operations team, you'll help keep projects running smoothly by supporting the day-to-day administration, coordination and organisation of productions across editing, colour grading, VFX, motion graphics and audio.
This is an excellent opportunity to learn from an experienced team and develop towards a Post Producer role.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support
- Provide administrative support to the Post Production team across multiple projects.
- Assist with booking meetings, reviews and client attended sessions.
- Prepare booking confirmations and project documentation.
- Help organise project folders, paperwork and production trackers.
- Assist with scheduling artists, suites, resources and making sure billings are up to date.
- Ensure assets are received, logged and distributed to the correct teams.
- Help coordinate deliveries and final asset distribution.

Studio & Client Support
- Welcome clients into the studio and ensure sessions run smoothly.
- Prepare meeting rooms and client areas when required.
- Support Producers during attended sessions.
- Arrange catering and refreshments for client sessions.
- Help maintain a professional and welcoming studio environment.
Workflow & Coordination
- Update production schedules and status reports.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to Producers.
- Help track deliveries and deadlines.
- Support file management, version control and archive processes.
- Liaise with Edit, Grade, VFX, Motion Graphics, Audio and Technical teams to ensure projects move efficiently through the studio.
Financial & Administrative Support
- Assist with raising purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Help maintain accurate job documentation.
- Support budget tracking and final project reconciliation.
- Assist with timesheet administration where required.
Team Support
- Provide general administrative assistance to the wider production team.
- Assist with onboarding freelancers and new starters.
- Help maintain production templates and documentation.
- Support internal meetings and take notes where required.
- Be willing to help wherever needed to keep productions running efficiently.
What We're Looking For
- A strong interest in post-production, advertising or film.
- Previous experience in a production, media, agency or administrative environment is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Proactive, reliable and happy working as part of a collaborative team.
