Production Assistant
ABF Pictures, Manchester (Hybrid)
ABF Pictures is a small, dynamic creative and production agency, passionate about creating effective TV and video advertising for our clients. We're a small team: friendly, honest, and open to collaboration and ideas. We love what we do.
Over the last 16 years we've nurtured our team, giving them room to grow, deliver results-driven campaigns, and go on to build successful careers in TV advertising. Several of our former PAs are now working as Producers and APs.
We're now looking for a Production Assistant to join our small, friendly team. You'll assist with all aspects of organisation on set, in pre-production, scheduling, and other production office tasks.
The role
You'll help organise cast and crew, keep productions moving and on schedule, and help us deliver great work every time. This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Manchester office, with travel to shoot locations (mostly within the North West, occasionally further afield) as needed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
