STS Aviation Services is hiring a Production Assistant in Manchester, United Kingdom, on a 9-month fixed-term contract.
Working within the Planning team and reporting to the Head of Planning, the Production Assistant is responsible for maintaining the control, accuracy and compliance of maintenance documentation and labour bookings within Base Maintenance.
This role supports airworthiness, cost control and production performance by ensuring work packs, task cards, labour records and maintenance documentation remain accurate, complete and audit-ready.

Position Overview
The Production Assistant is responsible for the control, integrity and compliance of maintenance documentation and labour bookings within Base Maintenance.
This position manages work packs, tracks task card activity, supports Part 145 compliance and reconciles labour bookings between Acumatica and Kronos. The role also works closely with Production, Commercial and customer teams to resolve documentation, labour and time-recording discrepancies.

Responsibilities
- Take ownership of work packs issued by Planning
- Control and track task cards and work pack-related forms
- Manage the return of task cards
- Ensure maintenance documentation supports Part 145 compliance and audit readiness
- Control document revisions
- Maintain digital archives
- Review and scan shift handovers
- Identify and report poor-quality documentation
- Reconcile labour bookings between Acumatica and Kronos
- Identify and correct labour time discrepancies
- Review productive and non-productive overbookings
- Escalate genuine labour overruns to Commercial for customer approval
- Coordinate responses to customer queries
- Maintain accurate and complete maintenance records
- Support effective work pack control throughout Base Maintenance activity
Skills And Experience
- Experience working within a Part 145 MRO environment
- Knowledge of work packs and airworthiness records
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Experience using Acumatica preferred
- Experience working with time-recording systems
- Experience using Kronos preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Strong coordination and organisational skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records in a regulated maintenance environment

The Successful Candidate Will Complete All Company-mandated Training, Including
- Initial Human Factors
- Initial SFAR Phase 1 and 2
- Initial EWIS Group 5
- ETOPS
- RVSM
- Competency Assessment
- Continuation Training
