Summary:
The Production Associate position is an entry level position to learn the processes of manufacturing and the different machines used in the process.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
- Pushing Stock
- Stacking off from the machines.
- Off load corrugated from the machines
- Assist operators and apprentices as needed
- Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
What you need to succeed:
- Must be able to work all three shifts
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Overtime and Saturday work may be required
- You must have a good job history and attendance record.
- Powered Industrial Truck experience is a plus, but not essential.
- High school Diploma or GED required.
- Industrial / manufacturing experience requested
- Maintain housekeeping excellence - maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Must be able to lift, push, walk, stand, and bend throughout a shift
- Corrugated box manufacturing experience a plus, printing experience very helpful
