Summary
We are looking for a Production Associate (Turning & Grinding) to join our Production team in Littlehampton on the PM shift.
You will operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring components meet required quality standards, engineering specifications, and production targets.
Description
What you’ll do:
- Operate CNC machines, centreless grinders, and metal stress-relieving equipment in accordance with approved work instructions and procedures
- Set up machinery and make adjustments where trained and authorised
- Inspect components using appropriate measuring equipment to ensure they meet specified dimensions and quality standards
- Follow the correct stress-relieving process parameters and complete all required process records
- Monitor machine performance and report faults, quality issues, or production delays to the Team Leader
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure full component traceability
- Follow all health and safety procedures and wear the required PPE
- Maintain good housekeeping and 5S standards within the work area
- Minimise scrap, rework, and downtime while achieving planned production output
- Work flexibly across production operations where trained and competent, support continuous improvement activities, and undertake other reasonable production duties as required

What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (Essential)
- Ability to follow engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality requirements (Essential)
- Experience using measuring equipment, such as verniers and micrometers (Essential)
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality (Essential)
- Understanding of safe machinery operation (Essential)
- CNC, centreless grinding, or metal stress-relieving experience (Desirable)
