Lotus Cars is renowned for crafting world-class, high-performance, and lightweight sports cars that are celebrated across the globe.

Lotus Cars Limited serves as the company’s manufacturing HQ in the UK, where we proudly produce iconic models such as the Emira and the all-electric Evija. As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking a Production Controller to join our dynamic Supply team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hethel.

About the Role

Lotus Cars is looking for a Production Controller to join our Supply Chain team at our iconic Hethel site.

This role sits at the heart of our manufacturing operation, helping to ensure vehicle and other production orders progress through the plant efficiently and to plan.

Working closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and other teams across the business, you'll track orders through the manufacturing process, identify and help resolve delays, coordinate engineering containment activities and ensure key production documentation and systems remain accurate and up to date.

This is a varied role combining production planning and control, administration and cross-functional coordination, with regular interaction across the Hethel manufacturing operation.

What You'll Do

  • Track Lotus, third-party and service orders through the plant, identifying delays and working with Production teams to resolve issues.
  • Expedite orders where required to support production and customer deadlines.
  • Manage the approval and communication of engineering containment activities and special builds.
  • Process approved Deviation Request Forms (DRFs) and issue these to the relevant Shop Floor teams.
  • Track and report on open DRFs, supporting the timely review and closure of outstanding actions.
  • Support the processing and management of orders through core business information systems.
  • Ensure Manufacturing Execution System (MES) jobs and data are aligned with the Production Plan.
  • Generate and issue Certificates of Conformity (CoCs) for manufactured products.
  • Work across departments to obtain the necessary approvals for engineering containment activities.
  • Identify production delays and escalate or coordinate actions where necessary to help meet customer requirements.
  • Provide cover for other departmental processes during holidays, absences and particularly busy periods.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
