Production Controller I
The Production Controller I carries out the routine administrative activities required to support Production Control and manufacturing operations. This includes data entry, document printing and distribution, work-based structure set-up, processing approved production information, and maintaining accurate records within relevant systems. The role primarily supports the business and Production Control function by ensuring the information required to execute production on schedule is processed accurately and promptly.
Essential Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Complete Production Control administration accurately and in line with established processes and instructions.
- Carry out routine data entry, document printing, document distribution, filing, and record maintenance to support Production Control and manufacturing operations.
- Maintain production systems, job structures, work-based structures, and documentation to support manufacturing requirements.
- Create jobs and system structures correctly from approved source information.
- Process approved production information accurately and promptly to support schedule execution.
- Ensure manufacturing packs contain the correct drawings, BOMs, and supporting documentation before issue.
- Process revision instructions correctly and update affected documentation as required.
- Maintain accurate system records that reflect the information supplied to Production Control.
- Communicate effectively with relevant teams and escalate queries, production issues, or information gaps to the appropriate person.
- Manage assigned workload effectively while maintaining accuracy, organization, and compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
- Support filing, printing, and document control standards so that production information remains accurate, controlled, and accessible.
- Take ownership for decisions, actions, performance, and behavior within the scope of the role.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and expectations, including Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.

Qualifications/Experience
- Good general education with strong administration, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Experience in production administration, document control, manufacturing support, or a similar administrative role is beneficial.
- Ability to process information accurately and follow established procedures and instructions.
- Comfortable working with production systems, job records, drawings, BOMs, and supporting documentation.
- Good communication skills with the ability to escalate queries, information gaps, and production issues promptly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage routine workload within agreed timescales.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and relevant business systems, is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing support environment and adapt to changing operational priorities.

Physical Demands
- This role is primarily office and production-support based, with regular interaction with manufacturing documentation and production areas as required.
- Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to use a computer and handle printed production documentation for extended periods.
- Must be able to move between office and production areas as required.
Work Conditions Of The Role
- Work conditions may involve time in office and manufacturing environments, including exposure to standard workshop conditions when visiting production areas.
- Work environment may involve some exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following basic safety precautions.
- Must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working within or visiting areas where required. This may include safety glasses, reflective vest, ear plugs, safety footwear, and other PPE as required by the location.
