Production Controller | Children’s Books | London | Permanent

Are you an experienced production professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality children’s publications? If you are open to a role that combines creativity with operational excellence, read on.

Our Partner

Our partner is looking for a Production Controller to join their team. This is a varied position where you will be involved in all aspects of the production process, from preparing files to liaising with suppliers and ensuring projects are delivered smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing reprint file workflows, working closely with creative teams to ensure accuracy at every stage.
  • Coordinating with colleagues across departments and with external suppliers to confirm material requirements and share information clearly.
  • Taking responsibility for shipping arrangements on all production orders.
  • Keeping the production team and wider business updated on schedules and product development.
  • Supporting the office with general administrative tasks when required.

Experience and Skills that will Deliver Success in this Role

  • A solid background in book production, ideally with experience in children’s publishing.
  • Confidence in handling supplier relationships and negotiating effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance several projects at once.
  • A clear understanding of how to plan and manage production schedules and workflows.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and testing procedures for children’s products would be an advantage.
