Production Data & Reporting Coordinator

Luxfer MEL Technologies is a global leader in high-performance magnesium and zirconium-based materials, supporting advanced technology industries worldwide. From aerospace and automotive to healthcare, defence, environmental and specialist industrial applications, our work plays a part in products and processes that improve performance, safety and reliability across critical sectors.

Role Overview – Production Data & Reporting Coordinator

Are you highly organised, confident working with data and interested in building a career in a manufacturing environment where accuracy really matters? Based at our Manchester site and reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, this role offers the opportunity to become a key link between Production, Planning and Continuous Improvement, helping our teams make better decisions through accurate SAP transactions, clear reporting and reliable production information.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail, problem-solving and process improvement. You will help strengthen production data discipline, identify and resolve errors, support performance reviews and contribute to practical improvements across our Extrusions and Elektron Finished Parts areas. In return, you will gain valuable exposure to manufacturing operations, SAP, reporting, variance analysis and continuous improvement activity within a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Play a key role in improving the accuracy and reliability of production data across our manufacturing operations.
  • Enter production transaction data into SAP accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Check production data for accuracy, completeness and consistency, identifying errors or missing information before and after SAP entry.
  • Work closely with Production, Planning and Continuous Improvement colleagues to highlight discrepancies and support timely correction.
  • Provide clear reporting on yield loss, production variances and labour variances for RFT meetings, operational reviews and audit activity.
  • Maintain accurate production records, transaction logs and supporting documentation to provide clear audit trails.
  • Prepare and distribute operational reports and performance information that help teams understand performance and drive improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement activity by identifying recurring data issues, process gaps and opportunities to reduce waste.
  • Support the department in raising purchase orders as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
