Production Engineer
Location: Telford
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hrs
Salary: up to circa £35,000 per annum (experience dependant)

Are you an experienced Production, Manufacturing or Process Engineer looking for a role that offers genuine project ownership, varied engineering challenges, and long-term career progression?
We are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business operating within a highly automated, advanced manufacturing environment. Working as part of a specialist Production Engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of projects, from new product introduction and equipment implementation through to automation, capacity improvement, and process optimisation initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Engineering Graduate, Apprentice-Trained Engineer, or early-career Production Engineer who enjoys driving improvement, managing projects, and influencing manufacturing performance across a busy production operation.
As a Production Engineer, you will support a variety of engineering and improvement projects across the manufacturing operation, including:
- Supporting new product introduction projects from concept through to production launch
- Assisting with equipment specification, supplier liaison, and commissioning activities
- Creating and updating SOPs, work instructions, and engineering documentation
- Supporting automation and robotics projects aimed at improving efficiency
- Collecting and analysing manufacturing data to identify improvement opportunities
- Investigating production issues and supporting root cause analysis activities
- Driving cycle time, quality, and productivity improvements
- Supporting trial builds and the introduction of new equipment and processes
- Participating in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities across the plant

Skills and Experience
- Degree, HNC/HND, or apprenticeship qualification in an Engineering discipline
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment through work experience, placement year, apprenticeship, or employment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Ambition to develop and build a long-term career within engineering
Additional Desired Skills:
- Production, Manufacturing, or Process Engineering experience
- Experience creating SOPs and engineering documentation
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Exposure to automation, assembly, press, or high-volume manufacturing processes
