Role Outline
The Production Engineer is responsible for providing electrical designs, production engineering information to support the NPI process, and delivering relevant production engineering information in line with manufacturing start dates.
As Production Engineer, Day To Day Duties Include
- Contribute to morning meetings and further daily communication with the team to ensure clear communication of targets and objectives
- Build and maintain direct relationships with internal and external customers, providing clear communication on all aspects of day-to-day operations
- Escalate relevant issues promptly to the Engineering Manager
- Collaborate with the H and S officer and committee to reduce risks in the area by highlighting safety concerns for new product introduction through effective project planning

For this Production Engineer role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
- Ideally hold Electrical / Engineering Qualification HNC or Time Served Electrical Apprenticeship
- New Product Introduction process, providing accurate data to support the quotation process
- Experienced working for systems integration and control panel manufacturing industry
- Understanding of design requirements and design standards including:
- Good understanding of electrical design from concept to production
- Competent use of a variety of CAD packages
- Ability to convert customer requirement to production engineered solution
- Experience in engineering capacity planning tool
