Production Engineer - Advanced Electronics Manufacturing

A market-leading manufacturer of high-reliability electronics products for aerospace, defence and industrial sectors is looking for a Production Engineer to join its Power engineering team.

This is a full lifecycle role. You'll support prototype build, process development and production, right through to end-of-life and field support, working across a portfolio that spans space, aerospace, oceanographic and medical imaging applications.

What you'll be doing:

  • Component-level fault finding and structured root cause analysis on the production line
  • Writing and maintaining SOPs, control plans and FMEAs
  • Supporting new product introduction (NPI) against DFM/DFA criteria
  • Managing manufacturing change from concept through to production acceptance
  • Acting as subject matter expert on risk and COSHH assessments

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years in electronics test and manufacturing engineering
  • Working knowledge of DFM/DFA and electrical/mechanical assembly and test
  • Problem-solving experience (8D, A3, root cause analysis)
  • Understanding of SPC data
  • Eligibility to obtain SC clearance (essential)

Desirable:

  • ERP/SAP experience
  • Lean/Six Sigma exposure
  • A relevant engineering degree
