Production Engineer

Industry: Electro-mechanical

Salary: £38k-£48k

Location: Cambridgeshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Engineer to join an established and innovative product development business. The company designs and manufactures high-quality, technically complex electro-mechanical products, with a strong focus on quality, reliability and continuous improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a practically minded engineer looking to develop their career across production engineering and test. You’ll work closely with R&D, Production and Operations, helping improve manufacturing processes, develop test solutions and ensure products can be built and tested efficiently and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain production test fixtures
  • Support functional testing of electro-mechanical products
  • Install and commission test equipment at external manufacturing partners
  • Develop build sequences, tooling and production aids
  • Support NPI and design reviews
  • Produce test, assembly and manufacturing documentation
  • Work closely with R&D, Production and Operations

Skills & Experience Required:

  • HNC/HND/BEng in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience in production, test or electronics engineering
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
  • Ability to read circuit schematics
  • Hands-on electronics assembly and prototyping skills
  • Test fixture or production equipment experience
  • Basic CAD skills advantageous
