Production Engineering Manager – Electronics, Hertfordshire
I'm currently recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager to join an established electronics manufacturing business in Hertfordshire.
This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a team of Production Engineers and Drawing Office staff while taking ownership of the wider Production Engineering function.
The role:
- Lead and develop a Production Engineering team
- Manage NPI and introduction of new products into manufacturing
- Improve manufacturing processes, efficiency and line/cell layouts
- Develop build documentation and tooling
- Lead continuous improvement activity
- Work closely with Production and Planning
- Manage engineering projects and customer requirements
- Provide technical and operational leadership across the department

We're looking for someone with:

- Previous experience managing or leading an engineering team
- Strong Production or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Background within electronics manufacturing
- Experience with NPI
- A strong track record of continuous improvement
- Good planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
- ERP experience
