Production Engineering Manager – Electronics, Hertfordshire

I'm currently recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager to join an established electronics manufacturing business in Hertfordshire.

This is a hands-on leadership role, managing a team of Production Engineers and Drawing Office staff while taking ownership of the wider Production Engineering function.

The role:

  • Lead and develop a Production Engineering team
  • Manage NPI and introduction of new products into manufacturing
  • Improve manufacturing processes, efficiency and line/cell layouts
  • Develop build documentation and tooling
  • Lead continuous improvement activity
  • Work closely with Production and Planning
  • Manage engineering projects and customer requirements
  • Provide technical and operational leadership across the department

  • Previous experience managing or leading an engineering team
  • Strong Production or Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Background within electronics manufacturing
  • Experience with NPI
  • A strong track record of continuous improvement
  • Good planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
  • ERP experience
