Production Engineering Specialist

Role Description

The Production Engineering Specialist is a vital role in ensuring our products are delivered to a high standard and in line with our customers’ requirements. The key responsibility of this position is to ensure our products leave the workshop in full working order. You’ll be responsible for the wiring, assembly, and testing of our equipment, as well as calibration and assembly of radar units, while also playing a key role in fault-finding and ensuring excellent service delivery. This role reports directly to the Production Manager.

About You

The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail. You must be able to:

  • Work independently while adhering to tight timescales
  • Manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Deliver high-quality products in collaboration with the production and engineering teams, while serving both internal needs and client requirements

Location

Chester House, Farnborough (office-based role)

Core Responsibilities

  • Wiring, assembly and testing of production equipment in full compliance with project requirements
  • Cleaning, processing, and logging of equipment returns and Return Merchandise Authorisations (RMAs)
  • Covering goods in/out duties during annual leave
  • Calibration and assembly of radar units
  • Supporting development teams with prototype builds
  • Fault-finding and repair of equipment

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • Proficiency in wiring, soldering, and crimping
  • Cable assembly skills
  • Expertise in electronics testing and assembly to board level
  • Basic IT skills (inclusive of MS Office applications)
  • Ability to work efficiently under time constraints while managing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills for both team and client interactions
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, drawings, or diagrams
  • Capability to work independently and effectively as part of a team
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
