Company: Phoenix Fuel

About Phoenix Fuel

Phoenix Fuel is an independent food business focused on producing fresh, high-quality food, with a strong emphasis on making healthy food taste great.

We’re a small, hands-on team and, as the business continues to grow, we’re looking for the right person to grow with us.

The Role

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant to join our small, friendly team.

In this role, you’ll be one of the faces of the business delivering excellent customer service, preparing delicious food and helping us keep our kitchen and service areas clean, organised and running smoothly.

It’s a varied, hands-on role. One moment you could be serving a customer or operating the till, the next you could be restocking fridges, preparing ingredients, loading the dishwasher or helping with food production.

Previous kitchen experience is essential, but full training will be provided on our equipment, systems, recipes and methods.

Safety awareness is extremely important. The role involves working with professional kitchen equipment and tools, including sous-vide equipment, commercial slicers, ovens, blenders, mixers and knives. We’re looking for someone who understands the importance of safe working practices and is willing to learn how to use our equipment correctly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
