You will be leading the team to ensure the smooth running of production activities, achieving all safety, quality, productivity, cost, delivery, and morale objectives. You will do this through the effective support and development of all staff, utilising best practice lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
The successful candidate will focus on the development of the team and individual capabilities and behaviours toward a self-directed team culture. This is a day shift role based at our site in Springburn, Glasgow.
Role Responsibilities
- Safety & Quality Agenda:
- Drive the H&S agenda and activities to ensure a safe working environment and achieve H&S scorecard targets.
- Support completion of identified H&S training and activities for the team.
- Drive the quality agenda and activities to maintain high-quality standards.

Problem-Solving & Engagement:
- Engage with the team for proactive problem-solving in areas such as quality and performance.

Talent & Team Development:
- Focus on the team and talent development toward a multi-skilled bottling team and future leaders of bottling.
- Hold regular one-to-one and year-end appraisal sessions.

Performance & Development:
- Manage team performance, holidays, and absence as required.

Duties & Leadership:
- Drive your own development within the business.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager where required.
- Own line performance, ensuring timely intervention and escalation where necessary.

Cost & Efficiency:
- Own consumption of labour and waste costs for efficient and effective bottling operations.

Meetings & Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Lead and facilitate DOR (Daily Operation Review) Tier meetings, as well as team performance meetings.
- Work as a team with stakeholders (planning, engineering, spirits supply, and warehouse) to ensure bottlenelling operations are as efficient and effective as possible.

TRACCs & Improvement Projects:
- Lead the team and develop a top-down ownership approach for TRACCs (Total Production Activity Control) implementation.
- Facilitate yellow and green belt improvement projects to support team members in their learning.

Responsible for Industry Standards:
- Develop the standards within bottling, following 5S and VM (Value Management) principles and TRACCs.

Qualifications
- Industry Experience: 3-5 years’ production experience.
- Leadership Experience: Previous relevant leadership or supervisory experience.
- Lean Principles: Understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles.
- Professional Qualification: Professional Management Qualification (e.g., SVQ) preferred.
- Regulatory Experience: Experience of working in a BRC (British Retail Consortium) accredited environment preferred.
