We are currently recruiting for Production Line Support Operatives at our new chilled potato product packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.

Shift & Hours of work

4 days on, 4 days off - rolling shift / Working 06:00hrs to 18:00hrs

Rate of pay

£14.23

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily line start-up checks prior to starting production.
  • Ensure line areas are clean, tidy and in a condition suitable for starting products on the line.
  • Perform safety checks with x-rays and all hourly CCP checks prior to starting production.
  • Perform all label, date, foil, packaging and printing quality checks according to specifications and standards.
  • Collect required items such as labels or film samples in accordance with the job sheet.
  • Ensure probes and scales are correctly calibrated prior to use.
  • Assist production team leader and QA team if requested.
  • Complete and check all production documentation prior to QA inspection.
  • Ensure necessary paperwork is completed, safety checks are performed, and the documents are handed to the QA team.
  • Help manage and support a small team, ensuring company processes (SOP’s) are followed, maintaining a food and people safe environment.
  • Report any breaches of company policy and procedure in a timely manner (including H&S & discipline).

  • Food Safety level 2 or above is desirable.
  • Experience in quality assurance/quality control/HACCP is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office systems.
  • Experience within a similar role and/or a food environment.
  • Awareness of the importance of food safety.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
