CONTRACT TYPE: 12 Month Fixed-term Contract, Full-time

DEPARTMENT: BBC Communications

LOCATION: London – Television Centre

PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Up to £27,000 plus £5,441 London Weighting depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Join the EMEA Creative team as a Production Management Assistant, playing a critical role in the delivery of promotional campaigns across On Air, Social and Digital platforms. Acting as a key operational support within the team, you'll be responsible for quality control, media management, asset delivery and administration, ensuring all content meets brand, compliance and broadcast standards before reaching audiences.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact

  • Carry out quality control checks on promotional campaigns, ensuring all content meets broadcast, brand and compliance standards before transmission
  • Review and validate assets for accuracy, including spelling, branding, audio tagging and technical specifications
  • Provide technical and administrative support to the EMEA Creative team, supporting the smooth running of monthly production workflows
  • Manage media assets, including archiving, cataloguing and maintaining content within media management systems to enable sharing across the business
  • Produce transmission logs and accurately maintain scheduling, transmission and music information across relevant systems
  • Support the Production Coordinator and wider team with the delivery of projects, asset distribution and ad hoc production activities
  • Build strong working relationships across the business, acting as a key point of contact and ensuring compliance with BBC policies and procedures.

Essential Criteria

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience working as a Production Management Assistant within a broadcast, production or media environment
  • Experience carrying out quality control checks on broadcast or consumer-facing content, with a strong understanding of brand and compliance requirements
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve errors relating to spelling, branding, metadata and technical delivery standards
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, with experience managing recurring workflows, competing priorities and deadlines
  • Experience using media management systems and production software, including Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Premiere, Dropbox and similar content management tools.

Desired But Not Required

  • Knowledge of broadcast transmission processes, digital asset management and media delivery workflows
  • Experience working across multiple content platforms, including On Air, Social and Digital
  • Experience working in an international or multilingual environment
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and building effective working relationships across creative and operational teams.
