A well-established manufacturing organisation with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality products to customers across a range of highly regulated sectors. Due to continued growth and investment, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at a key North West facility.
Your new role
As Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily production activities, ensuring operational objectives are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage production performance and develop a high-performing manufacturing team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing production teams to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
- Managing day-to-day manufacturing operations and production schedules.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Monitoring KPIs and implementing corrective actions where required.
- Driving continuous improvement activities using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to optimise performance.
- Managing labour utilisation, productivity, and resource planning.
- Supporting employee development through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.

What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, or Operations Manager position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and manufacturing best practice.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience managing production KPIs and budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or equivalent continuous improvement qualification.
- Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment.
