Production Manager

Location: Lincolnshire

Salary: c.£50,000

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 4:00pm

If you enjoy developing people as much as improving performance, this one should interest you.

You’ll lead a food manufacturing operation of approximately 100 people, with four Team Leaders reporting directly to you across production, prep, packing and service.

And those Team Leaders are a big part of the opportunity.

  • They’re young, bright and ambitious.
  • They’ve stepped up, they’re doing a good job and they want to learn.
  • What they need now is an experienced Production Manager who will coach them, challenge them and give them the confidence to make their own decisions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The operation itself is established and runs well. You won’t be walking into chaos or being asked to rebuild everything from scratch.

There is, however, plenty for you to influence.

  • Yield is the biggest opportunity, alongside improving consistency, strengthening standards and creating a more organised and accountable production team.
  • You’ll have the freedom to look at how the department operates, identify where performance is being lost and work with the team to make practical improvements.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing four Team Leaders
  • Improving yield, waste and production performance
  • Strengthening quality and operational standards
  • Bringing greater structure, prioritisation and accountability
  • Managing labour, workflow and costs
  • Delivering against safety, quality and customer targets

You’ll need experience leading a sizeable team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. Chilled, short shelf life product exposure would be particularly useful, especially if you can demonstrate improvements in yield, but it isn’t essential.

This is a role for someone who wants to be visible, build a strong team and leave the operation better than they found it.
