About the role

We are seeking an exceptional, experienced and dynamic Production Manager to join our team; this is a new role for the company at a hugely exciting time in our growth.

The successful candidate will oversee the technical aspects of event production, ensuring all requirements are met and executed flawlessly. The role demands a deep understanding of event technical production, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from conception to completion.

General Project & Production Management

  • Take overall responsibility for the production and operational delivery of assigned events and projects from concept through to completion and post-project analysis, contributing to a broad range of projects across the company's portfolio beyond traditional technical production.

Site Management & Infrastructure

  • Lead site-led projects by designing and implementing comprehensive site plans, coordinating structures, site access, logistics, infrastructure, and ensuring strict adherence to site safety legislation.

Project Coordination & Stakeholder Liaison

  • Work closely with event managers, creative directors, clients, artist management, and tour managers to align technical and operational solutions with project objectives and maintain clear communication.

Technical Production & Operations

  • Oversee technical production requirements (including audio, lighting, video/IMAG, AV, staging, and rigging), manage project budgets from initial pitch to final reconciliation, and ensure complete show readiness.

Team Leadership & Administration

  • Lead and manage project teams, freelance crew, and external suppliers, fostering a collaborative working environment while maintaining accurate project documentation and ISO compliance.

About you

Applicants should have:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members of varying seniority levels.
  • Excellent logistical, analytical and problem-solving skills for event setup, operation, and breakdown of events.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven leadership skills to guide and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in budget planning, management, and control.
  • Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with multiple agencies, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and mitigation in the events industry.
  • Technical proficiency, and familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Experience in sourcing and managing teams.
  • Experience in procurement.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with an understanding of current technologies, equipment, systems and developments across live events and production, and the ability to apply this knowledge to develop effective project solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in production management for live events.
  • Solid understanding of the events, entertainment, or related industry, including regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Experience in CAD software (Vectorworks, Rhino, AutoCAD)

Desirable:

  • Education: A relevant degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • Professional Qualifications: IOSH/NEBOSH.
  • Licences: Forklift / Telehandler / MEWP and driving licences.
