The Opportunity
You will take full responsibility for leading a complex assembly and test operation, ensuring the delivery of world-class manufacturing performance across Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
Working closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence, supporting new product introduction (NPI), and developing a highly engaged, high-performing workforce.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will influence both day-to-day performance and longer-term strategic improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary production team within a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Drive operational performance across key metrics including OEE, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and cost efficiency
- Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Root Cause methodologies
- Ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversee production planning, capacity management, and resource optimisation
- Foster a strong safety-first culture and champion employee engagement and development
- Support new product introduction, process improvements, and manufacturing innovation
About You
- Proven experience in a Production / Manufacturing leadership role within aerospace, defence, or a similar regulated industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and production planning
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Syteline)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
- Background in assembly and test operations (mechanical, electro-mechanical, or similar)
