About the Role

Lead a Production team, driving safety, quality, delivery, and productivity while developing a high-performing team. You will be responsible for improving manufacturing performance, implementing CI initiatives, and ensuring operational targets are consistently achieved.

Client Details

My client is an established manufacturing business that is part of a wider global group.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day production operations, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
  • Manage and develop production teams through coaching, performance management, and engagement initiatives.
  • Monitor and improve key operational KPIs, including productivity, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities across manufacturing and assembly operations.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to deliver customer requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and company procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational performance.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a Production Manager role.
  • Background within engineering, industrial, assembly, or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing production teams.
  • Demonstrable track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Experience using KPIs to monitor and improve performance.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and quality standards within manufacturing.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Results-driven leader with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and team development.

Job Offer

Salary: Circa £50,000 plus benefits.
