Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global organisation to recruit for an experienced Production Manager based in Bridgend.
This employer is commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence. As the business continues to grow and refine its production capabilities, as the Production Manager you will play a key role in driving performance and ensuring world-class manufacturing standards.
This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within the production department. The Production Manager will ensure efficient output, maintain exceptional quality standards, and lead a high-performing team.
You’ll collaborate closely with planning, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership to meet customer demand, improve processes, and create a safe and productive working environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Implement and manage production schedules in collaboration with the Production Planner.
- Monitor and adjust schedules according to customer demand, material availability, and capacity constraints.
- Ensure effective utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production personnel, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all products meet the highest quality standards and customer specifications.
- Work with the Quality Manager to maintain quality control processes, audits, and inspections.
- Address quality issues through the C2 quality system and drive timely resolution.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and cut costs.
- Apply lean manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, promoting safe working practices across the business.
- Collaborate with Materials and Supply Chain teams to manage WIP and raw material levels.
- Support the Plant Manager in controlling production costs and seeking efficiency improvements.
- Ensure seamless material flow to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.
- Produce regular reports on production KPIs, including absorbed hours, productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Skills & Experience Required
- Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing, operations, or production management role.
- Demonstrated success leading and developing production teams.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control.
- Experience implementing lean principles and driving continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Benefits package
- Salary up to £55,000 DoE
- Bonus paid annually @ 7.5%

- 37.50 hour working - week core hours 9 - 5 Flexi hours between 7.00am & 6pm
