Production Manager/Manufacturing Manager/Operations Manager

Location: Littlehampton
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and play a key role in delivering operational excellence across the business.

Reporting to the Head of Production, you will be responsible for ensuring production activities are carried out safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will lead, motivate and develop the production team whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, delivery and cost performance.

Key Responsibilities

As Production Manager, you will:

  • Lead and develop the production team, creating a high-performance, highly engaged culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards.
  • Manage production resources to deliver products on time, to specification and within budget.
  • Implement effective production planning and capacity management processes.
  • Recruit, train and develop employees, maintaining training matrices and succession plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing tools such as 5S, 5 Whys, OEE and waste reduction techniques.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs including Safety, Quality, OTIF, Productivity and Cost.
  • Work closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Lead improvement projects from identification through to implementation.
  • Champion Dellner's values of Commitment, Innovation, Team Spirit and Joy.

About You

  • Proven Production Manager or manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Strong people management and coaching skills.
  • Experience of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience managing performance through KPIs.
  • Experience within a batch processing or OEM manufacturing environment.
