PRODUCTION MANAGER
£45,000 – £50,000 + 10% Car Allowance
Mansfield, Nottinghamshire | Full-Time Permanent
Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions are working with a well-established specialist glass manufacturer who are looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to lead their busy manufacturing operation in Mansfield.
This is a hands-on Production Manager position where you’ll have genuine responsibility for production performance, quality, people and continuous improvement across a specialist flat glass manufacturing environment.
The company has over 35 years’ experience within the industry and manufactures and supplies toughened, laminated, heat-strengthened and decorative glass.

THE ROLE
As Production Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the production facility, ensuring that customer requirements, production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Managing daily production across glass processing, toughening and laminating
- Leading, motivating and supporting production teams on the shop floor
- Ensuring production targets, quality standards and delivery deadlines are met
- Monitoring workflow, productivity and machine performance
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
- Troubleshooting production issues and providing practical, hands-on solutions
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures
- Coordinating daily production activities and prioritising workload
- Supporting machine maintenance and operational efficiency
- Developing and supporting the training of production employees
- Driving a positive culture around quality, safety, performance and accountability

About You
We’re looking for an experienced Production Manager who is comfortable being hands-on and visible on the shop floor, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
- Proven experience in Production Management within the flat glass industry
- Strong knowledge of glass toughening, processing and laminating
- Excellent leadership and people-management skills
- A practical, hands-on approach to production management
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- A good understanding of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment
- The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine focus on achieving high standards of quality and production performance
