We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead pharmaceutical manufacturing operations at our Wrexham site. This role is accountable for delivering safe, compliant, and efficient production while fostering a strong culture of engagement, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. You will play a key leadership role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of high-quality medicines to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and supply targets
  • Own GMP compliance, audit readiness, and quality risk management within the department
  • Drive production performance through effective resource planning, KPI management, and issue resolution
  • Lead, develop, and engage Shift Managers, Team Leaders, and Operators to build high-performing teams
  • Champion continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives
  • Manage departmental budgets, costs, and capacity to align with business objectives

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Significant pharmaceutical manufacturing leadership experience, with a strong track record in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient operations
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage teams while meeting tight deadlines and performance targets
  • Demonstrated experience in budget and cost control within manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and process optimization
  • Strong working knowledge of GMP, QMS, RCA/CAPA, and regulatory audit environments
