We manufacture luxury furniture for commercial, hospitality, retail, and residential environments, offering bespoke joinery solutions tailored to individual project needs. We combine traditional manufacturing methods with modern technology and project management practices to deliver exceptional results for its clients.
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Production Manager to manage and coordinate projects through our bespoke manufacturing operation from design and procurement through manufacture and installation.
Working closely with the Design Manager, Workshop Manager, Installation Manager, Estimating and Procurement, the successful candidate will take overall responsibility for planning and coordinating the flow of projects through the business, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within allocated budgets.
This is a key coordination role requiring strong production knowledge combined with project management, commercial awareness, and excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects through the full internal production process from design and procurement through manufacture and installation.
- Develop, manage, and prioritise the production programme in line with agreed project and installation dates.
- Coordinate production workload, capacity, and resource requirements with the Workshop Manager.
- Work closely with Design to ensure drawings and information are available in line with the production programme.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure materials are ordered and available when required.
- Monitor project progress, manufacturing hours and costs against agreed budgets and programmes.
- Identify potential delays, capacity constraints, material issues, and cost overruns at an early stage and take appropriate action.
- Work closely with the Workshop Manager to ensure manufacturing priorities are clearly communicated and achieved.
- Coordinate with the Installation Manager to ensure completed works are ready for delivery and installation in line with programme requirements.
- Maintain accurate project, production, and scheduling information within the ERP system.
- Provide clear updates to management on project progress, programme, costs, risks, and resource requirements.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure production activities comply with company Health & Safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement in productivity, quality, planning, and manufacturing efficiency.

Skills & Experience
The successful candidate should ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Production Manager, Project Manager, Manufacturing Manager role.
- Experience within bespoke joinery, furniture manufacturing, fit-out or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Strong project management, production planning, and scheduling skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience monitoring labour hours, project budgets, resources, and production costs.
- Ability to interpret technical and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience using ERP/MRP or production management systems.
- Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and production planning tools.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively across Design, Procurement, Workshop, and Installation teams.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all installation teams and subcontractors.
- Ensure all operatives are appropriately trained, briefed, and compliant.
