Role Description
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency in all production activities. This full-time hybrid role is based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site work and some work from home.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Planning and scheduling production
- Coordinating resources
- Monitoring output
- Resolving operational issues to meet delivery deadlines
Collaboration and Improvement
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Implementing process improvements
- Maintaining compliance with standards
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Leadership and Development
- Leading and developing production team members
- Tracking performance metrics
- Contributing to strategic decisions that optimize manufacturing performance
Qualifications
- Strong production planning and scheduling skills, with experience managing workflows and resource allocation in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills in operations management and process improvement, including familiarity with lean, continuous improvement, or similar methodologies.
- Leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, and the ability to foster a safe and inclusive work culture.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical solutions.
- Communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective coordination with engineering, quality, supply chain, and external partners.

Beneficial Experience and Skills
- Relevant experience in manufacturing for maritime, machinery, or automotive sectors is highly beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with production management software, ERP systems, and standard health and safety practices is an advantage.
