Production Manager (FMCG)

Newry, Ireland

£50,000 - £60,000 + Training + Progression + Benefits

Are you a Production Manager or similar, wanting to make the move to the idyllic countryside of Ireland, coming from a background within an FMCG environment, holding strong people management capabilities alongside strong planning skills, looking to join a rapidly growing seafood business, quickly making a name for themselves within the FMCG industry?

Do you want to become a key member in a team of sector specialists, joining a highly ambitious company offering both training and development opportunities, recognised for their premium quality workmanship in every product they produce?

On offer for the successful Production Manager or similar is the opportunity to take on an autonomous role, with complete ownership and oversight of both the production team and line, with direct access to the Managing Director. Presenting itself is the opportunity to join a rapidly growing business operating out of one of the most idyllic towns in Ireland, immersing yourself in the beautiful environments of both Irelands countryside and harbour on a day-to-day basis.

In this role, the successful Production Manager will either need to reliably commute, or relocate to Newry, specifically, closer to the harbour. You will be responsible for the oversight and ownership of the full production lifecycle, and most specifically, its operatives, working from an impressive facility in the heart of the Irish countryside with a daily view of the harbourside. In addition, you will be responsible for both production, forward and workflow planning. On top of this, you will be responsible for KPI tracking and management, alongside providing accurate production reports. Finally, you will be responsible for staff leadership, task dictation, floor operations, and factory management.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
